The mission of management and quality management systems is to ensure quality with an emphasis on sustainable operation and continuous investment in the improvement of products, processes and services, as well as through the optimization and computerization of processes.
This is achieved through the efficient operation of the control and management systems in accordance with the principles of good practice, legislation and regulations governing the quality of the Slovenian Railways Group. Management and management systems oblige management and employees to coordinate their operations with the requirements and expectations of stakeholders within the legislative frameworks and guidelines of good practice.
At planned intervals, the companies of the Slovenian Railways Group provide internal and external audits in order to assess whether the implemented control systems are in accordance with the requirements of the internal acts governing individual areas at the level of the Slovenian Railways Group.
Control over the implementation of business processes
The Slovenian Railways Group supervises processes and their services in various phases. In this way, we ensure compliance with legislation, prescribed standards and specified requirements and procedures.
External oversight is carried out by various inspection services, external auditors and external auditors, who ensure compliance with the legislative and other requirements to which the Slovenian Railways Group is committed. In addition to external control, we also have various forms of internal control in place, which are performed by internal control inspectors, internal auditors, internal auditors and other authorized persons in companies.
Internal control checks the quality of services, the arrangement of documentation and the compliance of the implementation of processes with legislation and internal regulations. Process administrators are responsible for the control of individual processes, who systematically measure and monitor the success of processes on the basis of set goals, indicators and by adopting measures.
Assessment of ISO 9001
Implementation of the QMS is monitored by the certification authority and other monitoring and assessment bodies. The system is audited through internal and external reassessments and through reassessments conducted by our suppliers.
Business process audit
We assess in several stages how business processes and services are managed to ensure compliance with the statutory and regulatory requirements and relevant standards and procedures.
External audits of the Group’s compliance with the regulatory and other requirements are conducted by inspection bodies and independent auditors and assessors. Internal audits, on the other hand, are effected in several different ways by in-house inspectors, auditors, assessors and other authorised parties.
Internal audits serve to assess service quality, document control, and compliance of processes with the regulatory requirements and internal regulations. Each process is monitored and accessed by process managers against a set of performance indicators and company objectives, with measures adopted as and when appropriate.
